Lacrosse Game At Mercer Suspended Due To Inclement Weather

MACON, Ga. – After a lengthy inclement weather delay, Gardner-Webb's midweek lacrosse game at Mercer has been suspended in the third quarter with the Bears leading the Runnin' Bulldogs, 12-8. The contest is set to pick up on Thursday morning, April 7 at 10:00 a.m.
After trailing by five at the halftime break, 12-7, Gardner-Webb's Jada Preston scored the lone goal of the second half to make it a four-goal game before lightning in the area forced an abrupt stoppage on the field with 9:36 left to play in the third frame.
Led by Bria Foley's first-half hat trick, five different Runnin' Bulldogs have found the back of the cage. Aimie Perino added two goals, while Brittany Sherrod and Eilish Gately joined Preston with one apiece.
