BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Chase Thornhill competed in the men's 400-meter run on Wednesday afternoon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Preliminary Championship, which took place on the campus of Indiana University at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex.
 
The Perry Hall, Maryland native placed 40^th in the event, clocking in a time of 47.94 seconds at the finish line. Thornhill's finish at the East Prelim was just 1.4 seconds off of his career best, a program record that was previously set on April 23^rd at the Aggie Invitational.
