BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Gardner-Webb softball capped off the season against Campbell on Monday Afternoon, falling 2-0 in favor of the Camels.

The Camels put up two runs in the second and fifth innings to take the eventual victory, as Campbell scored on a sacrifice fly and a fielding error in the outfield.

Andrea Lyon (8-17) took the loss in the circle for GWU. Throwing six full frames, Lyon allowed three hits, two runs, and four walks.

With the shutout win for the Camels, Georgeanna Barefoot collected her 15th win of the season, pitching the full game she struck out five batters in 22 at-bats.
