Gardner-Webb Bested at Campbell

‘Dawgs fall in final non-conference match of the season

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University men's soccer team dropped their final non-conference match of the 2023 season at Campbell University on Tuesday night by a final score of 3-0. Jaylen Orr registered a pair of shots on goal for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
 
The 'Dawgs and Fighting Camels took a 0-0 score into halftime. Campbell. It was not until the 54th minute that Angel Bacho put Campbell ahead 1-0. Late in the second half they added to their lead as Adam Yousfi tallied another. Campbell would conclude the scoring with a third goal in the 86th minute to secure the victory. Other shots taken by GWU came from Santiago Hoyos, Pablo Brimeux, Max Fisher, Caio Hughes, Gael Zackrisson and Mathieu Ecourtemer.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs will return to conference play on Saturday, Oct. 28 when they travel to Radford University for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
