Jenna Otts Receives Big South Freshman of the Week Award

This is the second Freshman of the Week award Otts has earned this season
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After a successful 2-0 week on the road for the Runnin' Bulldogs, freshman outside hitter Jenna Otts has been named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Otts, combined for 25 kills (3.57 per set) in seven sets total over two matches all while on the road. She recorded double-digit kills in both performances last week with 15 and a .294 hitting percentage against USC Upstate and 10 with an incredible .318 hitting percentage against UNC Asheville.
Otts helped produce 15 points against Upstate and 10 against Asheville, averaging 3.57 per set last week. Otts achieved team-high kills in the two games as well. She also picked up three digs in each match to help the 'Dawgs defensively.
In the Big South, Otts is second in total kills this season with 310 and 3.33 per set and remains fourth in total points with 330.5 and 3.55 per set.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to the floor at Winthrop University on Saturday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. to conclude their regular season.
