
Runnin’ Bulldog Track & Field Opens Season with Multiple Program Records

Three school records and numerous all-time placements spotlight opener
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University track and field squad traveled to the JDL Fast Track for the JDL Early Bird Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Sunday, December 3 opening its season with a successful day including a trio of new program records for the 'Dawgs.
Among the school records broken, freshman Nathan Cremin grabbed the crown for the 800-meter race with a time of 1:52.99. Cremin of course finished first in the event and is now #10 of Division 1 times this season. Junior Isabela Castillo finished third in the 600-meter race but also secured a school record at 1:41.96. The final school record broken today for the Runnin' Bulldogs came from the 4 x 800 Relay event, where Kaden Pratt, Ryan Morita, Mark Mellon, and Cremin picked up a time of 8:02.46.
