Taylor, Waller Named To All-Academic Teams

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gardner-Webb had two members of the program named to the 2022-2023 Big South Track & Field All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference office on Saturday.
Karmen Taylor was named to the Women's All-Academic Team, and Joe Waller was named to the Men's team.
Karmen Taylor, Sr, Throws
Taylor's season was highlighted by a first place weight-throw at the VMI classic (17.34m) and two top tens in the Samford Bulldog Open (15.72m) and Carolina Challenge (14.40m). Her 17.34m throw was second all time in Gardner-Webb history. Taylor is a Healthcare Management major with a 3.63 GPA on the semester.
Joe Weller, R-Sr, Mid-Distance
Weller's season was highlighted by two top ten finishes in the 4x400 Meter Relay (3:38.51) at the Carolina Challenge and the VMI Classic (3:29.87). Weller is a Psychology major at Gardner-Webb with a 3.93 GPA on the semester.
The Runnin' Bulldogs will be in action March 10 and 11 at the NCAA Indoor Championship from Albuquerque, New Mexico.
