December 13, 2024 | Women's Lacrosse
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb University Athletics has announced the resignation of Kathleen Crum from her position as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach on Thursday, December 12.
Assistant Coach Chris Harris will be named Interim Head Coach while Gardner-Webb conducts a national search to appoint its next head coach of the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Harris joined Gardner-Webb in September 2024 as an assistant coach after serving as head coach of the Chowan Hawks of Division II Conference Carolinas. Harris helped shape Chowan into a competitive opponent within the conference, improving the Hawks win total by five during his lone season at the helm of the program.
The Hawks set several program-highs across Harris' four total years with the program, including a 100% graduation rate off the field to go along with a top ten defense nationally in caused turnovers per game, a top fifteen offense that ranked highly in total shots and shots per game, and saw a top 50 individual player in points per game while competing in Conference Carolinas.
