BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team fell in their Tuesday night game against the Aggies of North Carolina A&T University by a final score of 9-2. The game remained low scoring until a late game rally by NC A&T.
The ballgame remained scoreless until the top of the fifth inning when the Aggies tallied a pair. The Runnin' Bulldogs answered with one in the bottom frame as
Ethan Rossow scored on an error. Gardner-Webb briefly tied the ballgame 2-2 in the eighth inning when
Peter Capobianco homered to right field. NC A&T responded with a seven-run top of the ninth inning to ultimately take the game by a 9-2 final.
