Hawkins, Harris, and Bailey Pick Up All-Conference Honors

Three Runnin’ Bulldogs named 2023-2024 Big South Conference award winners

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ashley Hawkins has been named to Big South All-Conference Team, the Newcomer of the Year, and the Scholar Athlete of the Year. Anya Harris has been named the Big South Freshman of the Year and to the All-Freshman Team. Lauren Bailey has been named to the All-Freshman Team. The Conference announced on Tuesday, March 5. 
 
Hawkins collects three conference awards following a season where she scored 439 points and tallied 164 assists. She averaged a conference best 5.7 assists per game and a third best 15.1 points per game. Hawkins did all this while maintaining a 3.95 GPA as a management major.
 
Harris was a three-time Big South Conference Freshman of the Week winner. She averaged 7.5 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and 1.3 steals per game.
 
Lauren Bailey was named Big South Freshman of the week on Dec. 4. She averaged 8.4 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and shot 31% from behind the arch.
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs as the eight are set to play nine seeded UNC Asheville in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament on Wednesday, March 6 at the Qubein Center in High Point, N.C. at 6:00 p.m.
