BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team bested the Jaspers of Manhattan College on Saturday evening coming back from down two late win 6-5 on a walk off single. The Runnin' Bulldogs tallied the three game winning runs in the bottom of the ninth.
The Jaspers got out to a three-run lead in the first frame of the game on some small ball followed by a two-run homer.

Mark Black followed that up in the fourth hitting a single shot to left tying the game at three. Manhattan scored on singles in the eighth and ninth innings to take a 5-3 lead. Down a pair the Runnin' Bulldogs got to work in the final frame loading the base for
Wade Kelly to reach home on a put out making it 5-4.

Gardner-Webb will play a doubleheader against Manhattan on Sunday, March 10. The first game will be seven innings and will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a full nine-inning game.
