BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University women's lacrosse team was bested by Presbyterian on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 12-4.
The Blue Hose went on scoring stretches of five goals in the first quarter, and scored four more in the second to take a 9-0 lead into the half.
The Runnin' Bulldogs were able to chip into the PC lead in the second half starting with
Emma Duchscherer scoring unassisted at the 9:51 minute mark in the third quarter. PC scored one more in the third and early in the fourth.
The final three goals of the game were tallied by the 'Dawgs.
Rebecca Ferrina unassisted with 7:36 left followed by pair of goals scored by
Brittany Sherrod at 5:53 and 4:27.
Victoria Fischetti picked up the assist on her first goal.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to the field on Saturday, April 6 to host High Point University at 1:00 p.m.
