DURHAM, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team fell in their non-conference game at Duke University on Tuesday night by a final score of 2-1
The game saw a lot of arms out of the pen with 12 different pitchers entering the game between both teams. The Runnin' Bulldogs tallied their lone run of the ballgame in the fourth inning when the Blue Devils walked in a run with the bases loaded allowing
Alec Burns to score.
Gardner-Webb held the 1-0 lead until the eighth inning in which Duke hit a single up the middle that brought two across to go up 2-1. Duke hung on to get the one run victory.

Bryan Pazos the loss.
Gardner-Webb will return to the field on Friday, April 19 to begin a three-game home series against Longwood University. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
