Visintine and Lyon Pick Up Big South Weekly Awards

Visintine picks up her first conference award the year; Lyon picks up her fourth
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Adrienne Visintine has been named Big South Conference Player of the Week, and Andrea Lyon has been named Big South Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday, April 23. This is Lyon's fourth weekly award of the 2024 season, and Visintine's first.
A graduate student from Parker, Colorado, Visintine tallied six hits and five RBIs over four games for GWU this past week. She also averaged .317 over those four games.
Another graduate student from West Columbia, S.C., Lyon pitched 11.1 innings over two games including a complete game shutout of Western Carolina on April 16. She registered eight strikeouts in those games and posted a 1.85 ERA.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return to the field on April 23, at 4:00 p.m. at #5 Duke University. They return home to continue conference play against Presbyterian College for a three-game series starting with a doubleheader on Saturday April 27 at 1:00 p.m.
