GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team fell to the University of North Carolina Greensboro on Tuesday night by a final score of 11-1.
UNCG took control early in the game via small ball scoring one in the first, one in the second, five in the third, two in the fifth and in the seventh.
Gardner-Webb was able to get one across in the fifth inning with UNCG walking
Alec Burns with the bases loaded allowing
Max Smyley to score.
Bryan Pazos tallied the loss, and Hunter Shuey got the win.
Gardner-Webb will return to the field on Friday, April 12 on the road at Charleston Southern University for the first of a three-game conference series. First pitch
