Gardner-Webb Lacrosse Adds 12 for Fall 2024

Runnin’ Bulldogs add 12 for upcoming school year from eight different states
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb women's lacrosse has added 12 players for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.
"We are very eager to bring the 2024 class in to the culture we have built beyond the turf last year.", said coach Mirgon Crum. "This group will add high level competition, tenacity, resilience and the buy in to play for something bigger than yourself. We have been working to grow the game as a staff since my hire last summer through Youth Clinics, Prospect Days and In-Season Games for a cause (breast cancer, military appreciation, staff appreciation, OneLove, Morgans Message and Autism Awareness). Bringing in a class of recruits from geographical regions we have not yet hit as a program is huge for the trajectory of not only our game but the future of our Women's Lacrosse Program. We will have a lot of new faces in the 2024-2025 year and are excited to prove ourselves next spring season."

Ella Grace Bishop (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) is a midfielder brings experience as a team captain and a decorated high school player. She was named Second Team All-Lowerstate on defense and midfield, and was an All-Star in her senior season.
Alexis Block (San Antonio, Texas) is an attacking midfielder who led her high school team in goals, assists, and draw controls. She was twice named to the TAPPS All-Tournament Team, as well as All-District, and All-State.
Jules Brown (Chapin, S.C.) is an attacking midfielder that was a 5A SCHSL State Champion. She was also named First Team All-State in attacking, and won the Principals Leadership Award in 2024.
Sydney Ehrenreich (Kennesaw, Ga.) is a defensive midfielder who won awards for her play in each of her last three seasons. She was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, and won the Iron Man Award for 2024. Additionally, she served as team captain for the 2023-2024 season.
Mckensie Gehris (Cary, N.C.) is an attacking midfielder who holds the Cary High School record for goals with 200, and draw controls with 450. She was named All-Conference, All-Region, All-State, and was awarded Female Athlete of the Year for play.
Abby Hardiman (Aldie, Va.) is a midfielder that racked up 105 goals and 172 draw controls over three seasons at John Champe High School. She led her team to the Virginia 6A State Semifinal game for the first time in school history as a sophomore in which she scored seven goals. She was named All-District Cedar Run Honorable Mention her freshman and sophomore years, and named All-District Second Team her junior year. Additionally, she was also Member of the Under Armour All-America Force Team in the Spotlight Division in 2022. Hardiman played club lacrosse for the Pride Nova Black team, and was a starter when the club was ranked fifth nationally.
Alexa Kleinberger (Scranton, Pa.) is a midfielder that joins the program following a record-breaking high school career. She is the Scranton Preparatory School leader in goals, points, and draw controls in a single season racking up 68 goals and 34 as a senior. Additionally, she was named First Team All-Conference WVC and to the All-Region Team.
Charley Kramer (Elizabethtown, Pa.) is a defensive midfielder that served as a team captain for Elizabethtown Area High School. She was named a First Team All-Star defender, a member of the Delaware select team, and a recipient of the Unsung Hero award.
Jonni Saluppo (Clayton, N.C.) is a midfielder that comes to GWU following a 47-point senior season tallying 34 goals and 13 assists. She was named to the All-Conference Team, All-Conference Academic Team, and was an All-Region Honorable Mention.
Brooke Simpson (Las Vegas, Nev.) is an attacker that was awarded the Vegas Strong 2024 Player of the Year for her senior season. Additionally, she was twice named to the All-Conference team.
Kynnedy Wallace (Upper Marlboro, Md.) is a midfielder that will join the Runnin' Bulldogs following a successful career at Bishop McNamara High School. She was named Second Team All-Conference WCAC.
Katie Westbrook (Lexington, S.C.) is an attacking midfielder that will join Gardner-Webb after a decorated career at River Bluff High School where she is the career and single season record holder for goals scored and points. She is two-time USA Lacrosse Academic All-American, a two-time South Carlina National Team Member for the USA Lacrosse Tournament, a twice named 5A All-State midfielder, and a two-time varsity team captain. Westbrook's accolades also include making the 2024 SCHSL North South Senior All-Star Game, being named 2023 5A Lowerstate Midfielder of the Year, and being named 2024 Gator of the Year (Top Female Athlete at River Bluff HS).
