
Gardner-Webb Women Picked Fourth, Men Picked Fifth in Big South Outdoor Track and Field Preseason Poll

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Per release from the league office, the Gardner-Webb track and field team has been picked fourth in the women's poll and fifth in the men's poll for the upcoming 2026 Big South Outdoor Track and Field season
In the women's poll, High Point was picked first with 63 points, followed by Charleston Southern in second with 57 points. Radford landed in the third position with 48 points, while the Runnin' Bulldogs claimed fourth with 38 points. UNC Asheville finished fifth in the poll with 33 points, followed by USC Upstate in sixth (22 points), Winthrop in seventh (18 points) and Longwood in the eighth and final spot (nine points)
In the men's poll, High Point was picked first with 63 points, ahead of second-place Charleston Southern with 54 points. USC Upstate claimed third with 51 points, while UNC Asheville was fourth in the voting with 40 points. The Runnin' Bulldogs are fifth in the preseason standings with 30 points, followed by Winthrop in sixth (26 points), Longwood in seventh (14 points) and Radford in eighth (10 points)
Outdoor season begins for Gardner-Webb on the weekend of March 20th, with the Runnin' Bulldogs taking part in the 49er Classic at UNC Charlotte
