
Boyd and Peterson Compete For Runnin' Bulldogs on Day Three of 2026 NCAA East Regional Championships

LEXINGTON, KY - The Gardner-Webb track and field team wrapped up its stay at the 2026 NCAA East Regional Championships on Saturday afternoon, with sophomore Paige Boyd and senior Quentin Peterson in competition
Having already booked his spot at nationals in shot put, Peterson also took part in the men's discus event. Peterson out forth a valiant effort, finishing 19th overall in the field with a mark of 55.06 meters. He wrapped up his weekend as one of the top performing mid-major athletes in the competition
Competing in her first NCAA East Regionals, Boyd put forth a tremendous effort as well, finishing 29th overall with a mark of 1.71 meters. By virtue of her finish, Boyd placed among the best mid-major athletes in the region at championships
