Gardner-Webb Volleyball 2026 Fall Schedule Announced

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Now official, head coach Alex Hinsey and the Gardner-Webb volleyball team have released its upcoming fall 2026 schedule, featuring 11 home games, a co-hosted tournament, and 14 matches in the Big South Conference
The Runnin' Bulldogs will unofficially open the 2026 season with a home scrimmage against ETSU on August 21st before jumping into regular season action a week later
GWU will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for a tournament weekend at Leigh on August 28th and 29th battling the hosts as well as Morgan State and Cleveland state over three games
Following the trip north, Gardner-Webb will make a mid-week trip to NC Central on September 1st before one of the most exciting weekends of the Alex Hinsey era. Gardner-Webb will co-host a weekend tournament alongside USC Upstate, and will play host to UNC Wilmington on September 4th and Alabama State on September 5th
After a mid-week trip to Western Carolina on September 8th, the Runnin' Bulldogs will return to tournament action at West Georgia on September 11th and 12th. GWU is scheduled to face the hosts, as well as New Orleans and Mercer across three games that weekend in Carrollton, Ga.
After returning, Gardner-Webb will make the short drive up to Queens on September 15th before circling right back to tournament play. The Dawgs will take part in the Austin Peay invite on September 18th and 19th in Clarksville, Tenn. where GWU will face Austin Peay, Southern Illinois and SIUE over a busy weekend
After a quick non-conference home game on September 22nd against Wofford, the Runnin' Bulldogs begin Big South play. GWU will open the league slate against Winthrop on September 26th inside Paul Porter Arena
Full conference weekends then follow, as GWU faces Presbyterian on October 2nd and Charleston Southern on October 3rd, both in Boiling Springs
The first conference road tests for the Dawgs will be October 9th at High Point, and October 10th at Radford back to back
After a long weekend away, Gardner-Webb returns to Paul Porter Arena for three straight games. The Runnin' Bulldogs will host USC Upstate on October 16th, UNC Asheville on October 17th, and NC Central on October 20th
What follows to end the season are four straight road games, and six of the final eight overall. Gardner-Webb will visit Charleston Southern on October 23rd and Presbyterian on October 24th, thenUNC Asheville on October 30th and USC Upstate on October 31st
The final two home matches will see Radford visit Boiling Springs on November 7th, followed by High Point on November 8th. The Runnin' Bulldogs then visit Elon in the mid-week on November 10th, before wrapping up the regular season and Big South play at Winthrop on November 13th
The Big South Conference Volleyball Championship will be held at the Winthrop Coliseum, the following week, beginning on November 19th
