Women's Basketball Receives WBCA Academic Top 25 Special Mention

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs, inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. To qualify for consideration, teams must have at least a 3.0 combined GPA
For the 2025-26 academic year, the Runnin' Bulldogs posted a team GPA of 3.571, with the entire 11-player roster above a 3.00. Along with Longwood and UNC Asheville, Gardner-Webb is one of just three Big South schools to receive the honor
"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate membership divisions strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"
