Former GWU player Drew Schaefering will serve as the BulldogsVolunteer Assistant Coach for the upcoming 2006 season.
Schaefering played two seasons for the Bulldogs under CoachSetzer, after transferring to GWU from St. Louis Community CollegeForest Park and Charleston Southern.
During his two years at GWU, Schaefering was a vitalcontributor, as he played in all but two matches (35), where hestarted at his midfield position in 30 matches.
In 2005, Schaefering teamed up alongside of fellow assistantcoach Brian Young at midfield, to help lead the Bulldogs to one oftheir best overall seasons in recent years.
Schaefering is a constant competitor with a proven work ethic,that he intends to pass on and instill in this year’s team.
