Floyd is in her first season as an assistant coach and director of basketball operations with the Runnin’ Bulldogs, joining the staff at GWU after spending the previous season as an assistant at Texas A&M International.
Prior to her time at TAMIU, Floyd also spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Central State University in Texas, where she helped lead the Marauders to a seven win improvement in year two and double digit wins.
During her collegiate playing career, Floyd spent four seasons at Xavier before spending her final year of eligibility as a graduate transfer at Delaware State. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Floyd would average 7.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game over five college seasons, all while earning a Big East All-Academic team nod after the 2018-19 season.
Also a decorated prep star in northwest Ohio, Floyd attended Notre Dame Academy where she helped lead her high school team to three consecutive state Final Four appearances. Floyd became one of the nation's most sought after high school players, being ranked as the No. 16 girls player for her position by ESPN during her senior year while averaging over 16 points and 5 rebounds per game. This culminated in Floyd being named Toledo area Player of The Year, District Player of The Year and an OHSSA First Team All-State recipient.
Off the court, Floyd graduated from Xavier with a degree in liberal arts before transferring to Delaware State where she earned a master's degree in sports administration.
