Catrin Bateld, originally from Sweden, is in her second seasonas an assistant coach after helping led the Lady Bulldogs to eightwins in 2006-07.
Bateld is a graduate of Stetson University, where she helpedlead the Lady Hatters to the Atlantic Sun Tournament finals in both2005 and 2006.
While a junior tennis tournament player, Bateld gained anextensive amount of invaluable experience. She spent time trainingat the Harry Hopman Academy (FIA), at the Nick Boleteri Academy inFlorida and also spent time at the Top Team Academy in Barcelona,Spain.
Bateld’s primary duties at GWU will be assisting coach JimCorn in all duties, such as daily practice and assisting incoaching the ladies during match and tournament play.
Bateld graduated from Stetson with a degree in Economics andwill be pursuing her MBA while at GWU.
