GWU Men's Swimming Posts Top 15 GPA Nationally for 2012 Fall Semester

Boiling Springs, N.C. - Gardner-Webb's men's swim team has been honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), receiving All-Academic honors for the 13th consecutive semester by posting a team GPA of 3.28 for the 2012 Fall semester.
The Runnin' Bulldogs Fall GPA of 3.28 ranks 13th among NCAA Division I men's swimming programs for the 2012 Fall semester.
The national academic honor received by Gardner-Webb men's swimming marks the sixth consecutive year in which the team has received All-Academic designation, each year of the program's existence dating back to the 2007-2008 season.
Adding to the list of accomplishments established by this year's men's swimming team is the fact that the 3.28 GPA is the program's highest since it posted the nation's seventh best GPA (3.28) in the Fall of 2010.
The Runnin' Bulldogs' national recognition comes on the heels of a Top 3 finish at the 2013 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Championships. Gardner-Webb recorded a third place finish in the men's team standings, won five events, set six school records, and established a new Conference record in the men's 200 medley relay at the CCSA Championship meet this past weekend.
