Lile Earns Swimmer Of The Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Junior Nathan Lile (Waynesville, N.C./Homeschool) has been named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's Swimmer of the Week for the meets contested Sept. 26 – Oct. 5, 2014, the League announced Tuesday.
Lile and the Gardner-Webb men's and women's swim team competed at the North Carolina Collegiate Inviational this past weekend in Greensboro, N.C. where the Runnin' Bulldogs finished in fourth place.
In last weekend's meet, Lile participated in two relays and two individuals. The best finish of the meet for Lile came in the 200 backstroke (1:50.95), where he took third place. He also took part in the 400 free relay that finished with a time of 3:08.83, and took ninth in the 400-yard individual medley (4:13.93)
The final event of the weekend for Lile was the 400 freestyle relay, where he helped the Runnin' Bulldogs to a seventh place finish (3:08.83)
Gardner-Webb returns to the pool for its next meet on Oct. 18 when it travels to Baltimore, Md to compete in the UMBC Quad meet against UMBC, NJIT, and VMI.
