Kleppe Earns Second-Team All-State Honors from NCCSIA

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association released their selections for the 2017 University Division All-State Women's Soccer Teams Wednesday afternoon. Amongst the 22 total student-athletes from five different schools in North Carolina, sophomore midfielder, Stina Kleppe was tabbed a Second-Team selection.
The Runnin' Bulldogs playmaker started in all 19 matches this fall, recording 1,638 minutes. Kleppe was second on the team in scoring with three goals, and two assists. Kleppe also gathered accolades from the Big South as a Second-Team All-Conference selection.
On August 25, Kleppe netted her first goal of the season against Maryland in a match that went into double overtime.
Kleppe also recorded two goals against Radford (Oct. 7) in a 3-2 win on the road in match that also saw double overtime.
Four other Big South competitors accompany Kleppe as Second-Team selections.
Nominations were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals and voted on by NCCSIA members.
