What has your experience at GWU been like as a member of the women's soccer team? The women's soccer team is my family away from home. The people I have met at GWU have made my time here so special.
Do you have any superstition? If so, what are they? I always wear the same pink headband for every game. I've had it the whole time I've been at GWU.
Hidden talents: I can do the worm.
Annie Ross: The Cairo, Ga. native returns for her senior season bringing experience back to the Runnin' Bulldogs team. After appearing in 18 games as a freshman, Ross redshirted in 2015. In 2016, she saw action in nine games. She is studying International Business.
What is your favorite memory that you've made with the women's soccer team? When all of the other teams came out before our conference tournament game to support us.
What is your favorite sport other than soccer? Basketball
What are your plans after you graduate? I plan to go to graduate school and pursue my MBA in Marketing.
What will you miss most about GWU? My teammates.
Emily Burton: The Westerville, Ohio native rejoins the Runnin' Bulldogs soccer program from Ohio University. The 5'7 midfielder was a member of the team in 2014 and 2015.
What is your favorite thing about GWU? The beautiful sunsets.
What is your favorite sport other than soccer? Hockey
Do you have any pregame superstitions? I have to drink Starbucks before every game. I also have to put my socks, cleats, and shin guards on in a certain order.
What are your plans after graduation? I may go earn my Masters. But, I'll probably go wherever the wind takes me.
What will you miss most about GWU and being a member of the soccer team? I'll miss being able to go play my favorite sport with my favorite people every single day.
Irina Briquet: The Columbia, S.C. native appeared in 13 games, making one start as a freshman in 2014. She redshirted the following season, and appeared in four games in 2016. Briquet is majoring in International Business.
Who is your favorite soccer player? Ronaldinho
What has your experience been like so far at GWU? I've grown more in my time at Gardner-Webb than I ever have. It's definitely been some of the most challenging but, also some of the most rewarding.
What will you miss most about GWU and being a member of the soccer team? The girls I've grown so close to. Some of these girls will be a part of my life until I grow old.

Jessica Ferguson: The senior forward from Lawrence, Kan. returns significant experience this season. She appeared in 19 games as a freshman in 2014, while making three starts. In 2015, Ferguson appeared in 15 matches. Coming off of her 2016 campaign where she appeared in 20 games, with 10 starts, three goals and one assist Ferguson looks to serve as a major contributor in 2017. She is majoring in Chemistry.
What are the most important life lessons that you have learned in your time at GWU? I have learned how to put aside my own needs for the needs of the team because winning is better than playing time. I have also learned how to let things go when I make mistakes on the field. I can forget it and move to the next play.
Do you have any hidden talents? I can play the piano like a music major.
What are your plans after graduation? My hopes are to go to medical school. I am in the process of applying right now.
