Women's Soccer Trio Honored by United Soccer Coaches as Scholar All-South Region Members

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches named three Gardner-Webb women's soccer players – Stina Kleppe, Keely Brown and Samuelle Grove – to its Scholar All-South Region teams today.
Kleppe (Skien, Norway / Dahlske videregående skole) was a Second-Team selection, while Brown (Cincinnati, Ohio / Cincinnati Christian School) and Grove (Ottawa, Canada / Homeschooled) were Scholar All-South Region Third-Team members.
Kleppe is majoring in Biology and has a 3.78 GPA. The Skien, Norway native also received numerous awards for her on-field accomplishments. The junior led the Runnin' Bulldogs in goals (11) and points (28) and earned First-Team All-Big South Conference and North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) honors. Additionally, along with Brown, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Second Team for her performance on the pitch.
Brown holds a 3.65 GPA and will graduate with a degree in Business Administration. Like Kleppe, she earned First-Team All-BSC honors, while also being named to the NCCSIA and USC All-Southeast Region Second-Teams. Brown stopped 85 shots in goal her senior season, including a season-high 10 against Marshall. She allowed just 1.059 goals per match and ended her four-year career with 20 shutouts and 401 saves.
Grove, a Communications major with a concentration in Video and Film, has a 3.73 GPA. Following graduation from Gardner-Webb, Grove plans to study Social Justice and Community Engagement at Hillsong College in Sydney, Australia. As a senior, Grove was a Second-Team All-Big South Conference selection and First-Team NCCSIA member. She scored three goals and assisted on three others, tallying nine points for her final season in the red and black.
