
Several Top Finishes Highlight Gardner-Webb's Performance at Keydet Invitational

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Runnin' Bulldogs posted six top-ten finished and set three new personal records as the Gardner-Webb men's and women's indoor track and field teams took part in the Keydet Invitational, hosted by VMI in Lexington, Va.
Patrick Sastre brought home a third-place finish in the men's 800-meter run, timing in at 1:56.14. Joe Waller finished 21st overall with a time of 2:04.41.
In the women's pole vault, Louise Schmidtgen finished fifth overall with a mark of 3.45 meters. Randy Campbell finished 17th at 3.15 meters.
Josh Fischer finished seventh overall in the men's weight throw with a personal-best distance of 17.05 meters, a distance that ranks seventh all-time in the GWU record books. Kenny VanVorst finished 10th overall with a personal-best distance of 16.19 meters that put him tenth in the GWU top-ten list. Clay Hamilton placed 13th with a distance of 15.29 meters
Austin Evans placed seventh in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.80 meters, setting a new personal record that ranks sixth in the GWU record books.
Taliyah Wade finished tenth in the women's weight throw with a distance of 14.37 meters. Karmen Taylor placed 13th with a toss of 13.44 meters.
In the men's 4x400-meter relay, the team of Austin Buzzard, Ryan McGuffin, Patrick Sastre, and Joe Waller led GWU with a time of 3:30.06 to place 11th. The team of Tre Carson, Levi Zimmer, Matthew Cloninger, and Carlos Williams finished 19th with a time of 3:40.85
In the men's long jump, Ryan McGuffin placed 13th overall with a mark of 6.56 meters.
Taliyah Wade finished 16th overall in the women's shot put with a distance of 11.36 meters
Josh Fischer placed 18th in the men's shot put with a distance of 13.75 meters. Kenny VanVorst finished 23rd overall with a toss of 12.41 meters.
In the women's 200-meter dash, Shylee Stocks finished 19th with a time of 26.18 seconds. Sarianna Miranda-Rosado finished 40th at 27.52 seconds.
Faith Parandhamia finished 19th in the women's 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:20.67, the ninth-fastest time in the event in program history.
Shylee Stocks placed 23rd in the women's 60-meter dash, clocking in at 8.01 seconds, which ranks eighth on the GWU top-ten list for the event. Maya Mallory placed 49th with a time of 8.67 seconds
Mitchell Brown finished 28th in the men's 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:01.42
Callie Rhea placed 36th overall in the women's long jump with a mark of 4.59 meters.
In the men's mile run, Matthew Cloninger placed 37th with a time of 4:55.69. Bogdan Podgaisky followed with a personal-best time of 5:23.73

Alexis Fonville placed 34th in the women's 60-meter hurdles, clocking in at 9.98 seconds.

James Hinton placed 41st in the men's 60-meter dash, crossing the line at 7.24 seconds. Mason Marshall placed 48th with a time of 7.36 seconds.
