BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Fans, alumni, and friends of Gardner-Webb University are invited to a watch party of the selection show for the 2023 FCS Playoffs at the Brinkley Amphitheater on the campus of Gardner-Webb on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 12:00 P.M.
Fans will have a chance to join the team as the Runnin' Bulldogs learn their postseason destination during the FCS selection show live on ESPNU at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, Nov. 19. Admission to the event is free.
Gardner-Webb earns an automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs after clinching a share of the Big South-OVC championship following the Runnin' Bulldogs 34-10 win over Charleston Southern on Saturday, Nov. 18. GWU finished the regular season 7-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play, earning the auto bid by virtue of a 38-34 win over UT Martin on Saturday, Oct. 28.
This is the first time in program history that the Runnin' Bulldogs will compete in the postseason in back-to-back seasons. Gardner-Webb competed in the 2022 FCS Playoffs after winning the 2022 Big South championship, defeating Eastern Kentucky 52-41 in the first round.
Gardner-Webb's first round game in the FCS Playoffs will be played on Saturday, Nov. 25. Ticket information, along with kickoff time and media coverage, will be released later this week.
