2014 at Gardner-Webb: Was again one of the Big South’s most durable and consistent middle relievers as a junior … Tied for the team-high with 23 appearances, all out of the pen … Finished with a 1-4 record, 2.45 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 40.1 innings pitched … Held left-handed batters to a .128 batting average on the year … Worked at least 2.0 innings in 11 different outings … Hurled 5.1 scoreless relief innings in an 18-7 win at Charleston Southern (4/12) … Had 15 different scoreless appearances …Tossed two-thirds of an inning without allowing a hit to hold onto a 4-3 win against William & Mary (5/9) … Allowed just one run in 3.2 innings vs. North Carolina (5/13).
2013 at Gardner-Webb: Crafty southpaw made 24 relief appearances and emerged as one of the Big South’s top setup men again as a sophomore … Went 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA in 32.0innings of work … Fanned 21 batters and walked only eight,while holding opponents to a .248 batting average … Picked off a team-high four base runners … Allowed only three extra base hits all season (all doubles) … Picked up his second career win over a top-10 team, hurling 4.1 innings of strong relief in a 7-6 win over South Carolina (4/23) … Allowed just one run and fanned two in that game … Worked a season-high 5.0 relief innings, holding North Carolina A&T scoreless in a victory (4/13) … Worked 3.2 scoreless innings and fanned three for a relief win at Winthrop (3/30) … Did not allow a run in his first five appearances of the season (February 20-27)… Had only one appearance with more than one run allowed, giving up two vs. East Carolina (4/30) … Made 16 scoreless appearances, including no runs allowed in his five games of the season.
