Reading, Pa. - Former Gardner-Webb men's soccer
goalkeeper Scott
Krotee recently signed a professional contract to play with the
Pennsylvania Roar in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL), which
is part of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) soccer network.
Krotee, who is a native of Reading, Pennsylvania, played for the
Runnin' Bulldogs from 2008 to 2012. During his redshirt-senior
season in 2012, Krotee was fifth in the nation and second in the
Big South Conference with 107 saves on the season. He also ranked
sixth in the nation among all NCAA Division I goalkeepers with a
5.94 saves per game average that season. The Big South Defensive
Player of the Week for the Week of October 10th, was also second in
the Big South Conference with a .781 saves percentage on the
year.
A 2011 Big South Men's Soccer All-Tournament Team selection,
Krotee led the team in saves in both 2012 and 2011. He also is
ranked second in GWU's single-season record books with a 1.10 goals
against average, which he posted in 2011, and is ranked both third
and fifth in single season shutouts with six in 2011 and five in
2012.
He finished his career as the all-time career leader in goals
against average at Gardner-Webb with an average of 1.39 and ranks
third in the career record books in shutouts with 11.0 overall
during his time in between the posts at GWU.
Scott graduated from Gardner-Webb in May 2012 is currently
working towards his graduate degree in International Marketing at
Saint Joseph's University
