
Gardner-Webb Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for Fourth Straight Year

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Gardner-Webb baseball was recognized for its achievements in the classroom, earning the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the fourth consecutive year.
Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were recognized with the award, highlighting programs coached by ABCA members that posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2018-19 season. GWU posted a 3.21 team GPA for the year.
The Runnin' Bulldogs were one of 49 NCAA Division 1 programs recognized, with 302 college and high school teams receiving this year's award.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award was created following the 2015-16 season, and Gardner-Webb had been recognized each year the honor has been distributed.
