BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Jimmy Cain joins the Gardner-Webb baseball coaching staff as the Director of Player Development, announced Wednesday afternoon by GWU head coach Jim Chester.
 
Cain joins the Runnin' Bulldogs after spending time this fall as an assistant baseball coach at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland, where he assisted in creating and implementing the practice plans each week for the Riverhawks.
 
Cain played collegiately at Millersville (Pa.) University from 2015-2020, where he helped lead the Marauders to four consecutive NCAA Division II Regional appearances, including 2016 when the team finished as the NCAA Division II Runner-Up.
 
A native of Elkridge, Md., Cain earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Athletic Coaching from Millersville University in May 2020.
