Gardner-Webb Baseball Earns 2019-20 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb baseball program has been recognized for its achievements in the classroom by earning the 2019-20 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award.
Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were recognized with the award, highlighting programs coached by ABCA members that posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2019-20 academic year. GWU posted a 3.37 team GPA for the year.
The Runnin' Bulldogs were one of 64 NCAA Division 1 programs recognized, with a record 424 college and high school teams receiving this year's award.
The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award was created following the 2015-16 season and Gardner-Webb has been recognized each year the honor has been distributed.
