
Carpenter, Hodges Throw Combined No-Hitter in Game Two of Dawg Bone World Series

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Luke Carpenter and Garrett Hodges teamed up to toss a combined no-hitter as Team Marshall took a 3-0 victory and a 2-0 series lead in the Dawg Bone World Series over Team Medic on Friday, Nov. 3.
The two hurlers allowed zero hits in seven innings of work, striking out 12 combined batters. Hodges opened the contest going 3.2 innings, striking out seven batters and walking a pair. Carpenter went 3.1 innings for Team Marshall, striking out five and walking a duo of batters as well.
On offense, Matt Ilgenfritz hit his second home run of the series, going 1-for-3 with a solo shot. Joe Stanzione recorded his second double of the weekend, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Lawson Knight also brought in a run for Team Marshall, going 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Devin Pressley impressed on the mound for Team Medic, going 3.1 innings, allowing zero hits and striking out three batters.
