Team Medic Takes Final Game of Dawg Bone World Series

Team Marshall takes series 2-1
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - Team Medic avoided the sweep in the 2023 Dawg Bone World Series, taking game three 5-4 on Saturday, Nov. 4.
Max Smyley led the way on offense, going 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI while also scoring a run. Alec Burns was also effective at the plate, going 1-for-3 with an RBI and scoring a run as well.
Matthew Ilgenfritz continued to shine for Team Marshall, going 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Humberto Torres went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, while Ethan Rossow went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
Team Medic was led on the bump by Jack Clemente, going one inning and allowing one hit and striking out three. Team Marshall was paced by Parker Dixon, going one inning and allowing zero hits while also walking zero batters.
Team Marshall takes the 2023 Dawg Bone World Series 2-1, earning the championship belt. The Runnin' Bulldogs will now prepare for the 2024 regular season. The 2024 Gardner-Webb baseball schedule and ticket information will be released soon at gwusports.com.
