BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team has announced its 2024 season schedule. The Runnin' Bulldogs will play 32 regular season home games in 2024.

"The 2024 schedule is as exciting and challenging as any during my time at Gardner-Webb!", said coach Chester. "2024 is highlighted with an always competitive Big South slate and a trip to Lubbock, TX to face national power Texas Tech for the first time in program history." 
 
Jim Chester's squad opens its season on Friday, February 16 vs. Appalachian State University at 4:00 pm in Bill Masters Field at John Henry Moss Stadium.

After its three-game series vs. Appalachian State to open the season, Gardner-Webb will host North Carolina A&T (Feb. 20), Saint Joseph's University (Feb. 24), Quinnipiac University (Feb. 24), and Canisius College (Feb 25) before traveling to the University of South Carolina (Feb. 27) and a three-game series at Texas Tech University (March 1-3).
 
The Runnin' Bulldogs then return home for another six-game home stand, beginning with a game vs. the University of North Carolina Greensboro (March 6). GWU will then host four games vs. Manhattan College (March 8-10), and Valparaiso University (March 12). 

Other non-conference opponents include the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (March 20) Western Carolina University (March 26, April 2-3), Virginia Military Institute (April 5-7), Duke University (April 16), the University of North Carolina (April 23), Wofford College (May-3-5), and the Queens University of Charlotte.
 
Gardner-Webb's Big South Schedule will consist of three-game series with each member of the conference beginning at USC Upstate (March 15-17) continuing against Winthrop (March 22-24), Presbyterian (March 28-30), Charleston Southern (April 12-14), Longwood (April 19-21), Radford (April 26-28), UNC Asheville (May10-12), and High Point (May 16-18).

The Big South Conference Baseball Championships will be held once again in High Point, N.C., from May 23-25 with an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Championships on the line.
