Team Tom and Tripp Even Dawg Bone World Series With 7-2 Win

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Team Tom and Tripp captured a 7-2 victory over Team Cam and Curt Friday afternoon while pulling even in the Dawg Bone World Series at one game each.
Team Tom and Tripp took control early in the contest with a 4-run second inning, receiving hits from five different players and RBIs from four, highlighted by a RBI double off the bat of freshman Nick Adrian.
That lead ballooned to 7-0 after Team Tom and Tripp added a single run in the fourth and two more in the fifth. Jace Presley tossed 4.0 innings while scattering three hits and one run. Presley struck out two batters.
Jerek Hobb and Dom Guzman combined for three innings and six total strikeouts in the win.
Team Cam and Curt was led by Carson Willoughby, who went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Marco Lopez added a hit of his own.
The two teams will meet tomorrow in the winner-take-all game three, First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
