Runnin’ Bulldogs tally one in loss to #19 South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball team fell to the University of South Carolina on Tuesday evening by a final score of 7-1. GWU put a solo shot on the board early before the SC bats heated up.
Humberto Torres hit a solo shot out of the yard in the second inning of play to get the Runnin' Bulldogs on the board. It was his third homerun of the season thus far. The Gamecocks ultimately put up seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take the game.
Gardner-Webb will travel to Texas Tech University this weekend for a three-game weekend road series.
