Brogdon and Johnson Pick Up Big South Weekly Honors

Brogdon and Johnson win their first conference weekly awards of the 2024 season
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Blake Brogdon has been named Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week, and Gavin Johnson has been named Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Monday, April 29. This brings GWU's weekly conference award total to three on the season.
A junior from Cypress Woods, Texas, Brogdon threw a complete game victory in Gardner-Webb's April 26, 9-1 win over Radford University registering six strikeouts and just one earned run.
An outfielder from Youngsville, N.C., Johnson recorded six hits including one double, two RBI's, two runs, and three walks over GWU's four games this past week.
