Runnin’ Bulldogs score three in loss to the Bears
MACON, Ga. – The Gardner-Webb University women's lacrosse team was beaten by the Mercer University Bears on Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 25-3.
Gardner-Webb tallied their three goals in the first half of play. Aimie Perino scored from an assist by Rebecca Ferrina with 8:26 left in the first quarter. The'Dawgs then scored bac-to-back goals at 2:48 and 1:00 left in the second from Perino and Brittany Sherrod.
The Bears ultimately scored the bulk of their goals in the first half on their way to the win.
The Runnin' Bulldogs return the field on Saturday, April 6 to host High Point University at 1:00 p.m.
