BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – As the summer league baseball season continues, a number of Gardner-Webb players are progressing with their respective clubs.
 
On the mound several Runnin' Bulldogs have continued to make strides, including Devin Pressley who made his debut for the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod League earlier this month. He recorded a pair of strikeouts in one inning pitched in relief.
 
Jerek Hobb is with the Burlington Sock Puppets of the Appalachian League. He has an ERA of 3.55 with 17 strikeouts over 12.2 innings pitched.
 
Will Franklin is with the Bellingham Bells of the West Coastal League where he has posted an ERA of 3.50. He has racked up 16 strikeouts over 18.0 innings pitched.
 
Nick Vieira is with the Leesburg Lighting of the Florida Collegiate Summer League. He has an ERA of 3.52 with 17 strikeouts over 15.1 innings pitched.
 
Mason Manriquez is with the Asheboro Zookeepers in the Coastal Plains League where he has tallied 35 strikeouts over 31.1 innings pitched. He has posted a 3.73 ERA.
 
Other standouts include Kevin Pauly with the Lombard Orioles of the Chicago Suburban League who has 20 strikeouts over 18.2 innings pitched, and Burt Rawlings with the Uwaharie Wampus Cats of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League. He has recorded 21 strikeouts over 13.0 innings pitched.
 
At the plate, Gardner-Webb has continued to do damage including Drew Ripepi who is with the Beach Boys of the South Florida Collegiate League. He is batting .382 with 13 hits, eight RBIs, eight walks, a home run, and a stolen base. 
 
Merik Carter is with the Jackson Rockabillys of the Prospect League where he is batting .365. He leads all summer league 'Dawgs with 42 hits, 27 RBIs, and 28 walks. He has also legged out 13 stolen bags. 
 
Joe Manesiotis is with the Cortland Crush of the New York Collegiate Summer League. He is batting .370 with 17 hits, 11 RBIs and six walks.
 
Ethan Liao is with the Walnut Creek Crawdads of the California Collegiate League. He has tallied 23 hits, eight RBIs, 13 walks, and three stolen bases while batting .333.
 
Brian Daker is also with the Jackson Rockabillys of the Prospect League. He has 14 hits, 13 RBIs, and 17 walks while posting a .333 batting average.
 
Lawson Knight is with the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League where he is hitting. 333. He has 14 hits, a pair of RBIs, six walks, and two stolen bases.
 
Ethan Rossow is also with the Jackson Rockabillys of the Prospect League. He has racked up 33 hits, 20 RBIs, 20 walks, and leads summer league 'Dawgs in stolen bases with 14. He is batting .333.
