
Francis Jr. Named DI Designated Hitter All-American by 64Analytics

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Redshirt-senior Dale Francis Jr. of the Gardner-Webb baseball team has been named a DI All-American at his designated hitter position as announced by 64Analytics on Tuesday, May 27.
Francis turned in a solid season with the Runnin' Bulldogs, blasting a team-high 18 homeruns, including a four-homer game during a 16-14 win over App State on March 1. In that game, Francis finished with four longballs and 12 RBIs while also being intentionally walked with the bases loaded. Francis became the 15th player in DI history to clobber four in a single game.
Throughout the season, Francis was a staple offensively for the 'Dawgs, finishing the year with a .303 average to go along with 59 hits, including 13 doubles and 60 RBIs. His 126 total bases ranked first on the team while also leading GWU with a .646 slugging percentage and 1.035 OPS.
