Anthony Marks

Anthony Marks joins the Gardner-Webb baseball staff as the volunteer assistant for the 2019-20 season.

Marks joins the Runnin' Bulldogs after spending the 2019 season as an assistant coach at Barton College, in which the Bulldogs posted a 21-20 overall record and finished second overall in the Conference Carolinas.

No stranger to the Big South Conference, Marks played collegiately at Coastal Carolina University from 2013-16, leading the Chanticleers to the programs first-ever NCAA Division I National Championship iin 2016 as the team's starting left fielder and leadoff batter.

Marks was named to the 2016 College World Series All-Tournament team and also earned Big South Conference First-Team All-Conference accolades in 2015.

Following his collegiate career, Marks signed a free agent deal with the San Francisco Giants organization, making it to Single-A with the Augusta GreenJackets.

Marks graduated from Coastal Carolina in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Communication.
