NOTES: Veteran backstop who is the Runnin' Bulldogs’ top defensive catcher … Has been better offensively than advertised, with good power from the right side… Is very knowledgeable behind the plate and does a fine job handling the team’s young pitching staff … Should be a regular contributor again in 2007.
Summer 2006: Played for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League in Minnesota … Played in 40 games… Batted .122 with a home run and seven RBI.
2006 at Gardner-Webb: Drew 26 starting assignments behind the plate … Batted .292 with a home run and 12 RBI …Scored 10 runs … Added three doubles and a triple …Went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI to spark a 9-8 win at Appalachian State (3/28) … Had six multi-hit games …Was 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBI in a win at North Carolina A&T (4/12) … Went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run at UNC Asheville (4/25).
