The 'Dawgs welcome Darius Pinnix in his first season with the Runnin’ Bulldog football staff.
Prior to GWU, Pinnix spent one year on the Tiffin University staff after completing a standout career as a running back for the Dragons. Pinnix worked with his former position group, and successfully coached a backfield that included first team All-GMAC performer Ronald Blackman and second team All-GMAC rusher Devin Nelson, who was also named to the CAA All-Region 2nd Team. The 2023 Tiffin running back unit was one of the deepest in program history, rushing for over 2,900 yards and 37 TDs.
As a Dragon, Pinnix compiled a career total of 2069 yards, and scored 18 TDs.
Prior to Tiffin, Pinnix spent 2017-2020 as a member of the East Carolina University football program. Pinnix played in 26 career games for the Pirates, gaining nearly 1,000 total yards and scoring 9 TDs.
He earned an MBA in Business Administration with a focus in Sports Management.
