Runnin' Bulldogs Wrap Up Regular Season With 3-0 Loss to Radford

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb women's soccer team (4-10-3, 3-3-2 Big South) wrapped up regular season action on Wednesday night at Greene-Harbison Stadium, falling 3-0 to visiting Radford (10-4-1, 7-1-0 Big South)

The league-leading Highlanders started strong on Wednesday night, peppering the Gardner-Webb goal with seven shots in the opening 20 minutes. Despite the pressure, senior goalkeeper Savannah Dixon was up to the task with a couple key early saves.

Radford broke through to take the lead off a corner kick in the 22nd minute, but Gardner-Webb began its best spell of the game right after. After falling behind 1-0, the Runnin' Bulldogs got on the ball for much of the remaining half, with junior forward Olivia Tribolet forcing a great save in the 31st minute.

Radford doubled its lead in the 59th minute, and wrapped up the game with a third goal in the 75th minute. In between were a series of tremendous saves by Dixon, including one in the 61st minute where the Raleigh, N.C. scrambled across her line to keep out a Radford shot.

For the remaining attack, redshirt junior defender Peyton Bryant landed a shot from distance in the 80th minute, while freshman defender Noor Reslan nearly scored on a great chance for GWU in the 82nd
